A Purple AR for the wife!!!

My wife wants a PURPLE AR style rifle for Christmas. (Yes, I know that many of you are now officially jealous and hate me because my wife likes guns. )

What would be a good "inexpensive" platform to start with (neither of us have done the AR thing before, but who am I to not buy her a gun when she wants one) and where in the world do you find purple plastic for an AR. ?

She'd probably want one of the 6 position stocks.

You can start with anything and just have it dura-coated in any color or pattern your want.

There are already some purples ones out there...I am sure somebody will come up with some pics soon.

Contact madmike. He is a distributor for the Cavalry arms colored furniture. It's now out of production but he may have some left. I think it's more a purple/magenta and he also might have blue left.

I have wine colored purple in stock, blue, POSSIBLY some pink, and I can powdercoat it in metalflake, gloss or matte finish purple.

Mike, are the optional colors paint or are they actually in the plastic?

A goofy grape CAV 15 would be, shall we say, different.

Maybe I missed the answer- but for an inexspensive platform you'll hear time and again- stag fully assembled lower- $225ish, and stag/cmt upper. check eaglefirearms.net (i think that's it) out. I've never used stag. I really like RRA's product and it isn't all that much more $$$.

I recall High Standard made their Sentinel revolvers in some "feminine" colors in the late 50's early 60's to appeal to the female buyer. I have seen a couple of these at the shows.

Don't tell anyone, but if I ever get to where I can...well...I like green and gray...and the Gadsen flag.

Hunter Green, Charcoal Gray Pinstripe, Yellow Gadson flag background with blag snake and lettering on the stock...matching mags too.

Don't tell anyone I had a Marlin 60 like this once.

My second one in Burlap bag brown, with a charcoal gray , darker gray- rebel flag.

Kramer Has that ever been mistaken for a toy?

Nope....not yet, at least. It's only been out of the house a few times since we assembled it in December. With the warmer weather, we've been doing more motorcycle riding that shooting.

I can't find the picture, but I love the AR with yellow stocks and DeWalt stickers on it.....with a mag that is modified to look like a battery pack as the whole assembly sits on a DeWalt charger.......Makes me want to build a yellow one and put Ducati stickers on it.

Heh... My girlfriend wants me to build an AR for her, but she HATES pink. If I gave her a pink AR she'd hurt me.

Might be worth it though, just to see the look one her face.

I think a tye-died AR would be awfully cool. Or mebbe an AR with one of those colorful psychadelic designs that they used on album covers in the '60s. Something with lots of peace symbols and all sorts of other hippie-ish stuff
