Oddly enough, a downwardly-plunging firey handbask
With no offense intended to Zan, I decided to give all those people who said "No good choice" or "None of the Above" a chance to voice your opinion on President.

Please post why you voted how you did.

1. Would your vote change if Bush & Kerry were within the margin of error (5%) on most polls?

2. Who represents your views best, reguardless of who might win or lose?

3. Did you choose that candidate (whom represents you best), or did you play the popularity game or sheepishly follow the mantra that "THe other guy is worse! My vote is beholden to a particular party, because the other is evil! And if I dont vote to keep the evil party out instead of voting for the best candidate the S will HTF!!!!"

Mine:

1. Yes. I would grudgingly vote for Bush ONLY if they were close.
2. The Libertarian Party
3. I chose the best candidate for my views.

Edit: Can a mod change the "bush or other" to include "...LP or Other party" ? Thanks. :)

While I disagree with President Bush' administration on a few domestic policies**, I am [shudder] very afraid of what would happen in sKerry or someone even farther left [Hitlery Klintoon] got into the oval office.

**Main domestic policy disagreement....The Dept. of Labor attempt to limit overtime pay.

It doesn't matter to me how much the good Police/Fire/Health folks are making, it isn't NEARLY enough for what they have to do and face every day.

Plus, the 'unintended consequences' effect kicks in, too. No OT pay, less money for the people to have and spend. And less gross pay, less taxable income...less revenue for the .guv to waste,,,,,ahhh spend wisely for our benefit.

The Dept. of Labor head needs to be fired, right next to Norm Mineta.

None of the candidates or political parties represent my views best.

When it comes to fiscal policy, free trade, legalization of drugs, etc the Libertarians are where I stand. :)

When it comes to national defense and foreign policy I pretty much agree with the Republicans. :)

None of the parties have the same views I have on RKBA, immigration or abortion (maybe the constitution party - I'll have to check into that). :banghead:

So basically when I vote I have to pick the candidate that most closely agrees with the issues I consider the most important at the time.

Unfortunately it seems that in the coming election I've got a really hard choice to make.

I’ll be voting Libertarian, even if it means G. W. Bush is “re-elected.†I cannot, in good conscience, vote for Bush. Neither can I vote for Kerry.

Senator Kerry doesn’t support the Second Amendment, but neither does the President. His flunkies merely give it good lip service.

Same here. We'll see who gets my vote after Sept 14. If Bush lets the AWB go away and comes out and says it was a stupid, worthless, ineffective law and that was why he didn't push for it then he will get my vote.

Still don't like the Patriot act or timing of the war in Iraq but everything would be worse if Gore or Kerry were in the oval office.

I still, honestly, have no clue on who I'll be voting for...

If nothing else, Jello Biafra has my write-in vote...

I'' vote for Bush if Kerry is within 5% points of him. I can't stand the thought of Kerry as Prez, for a whole host of reasons. However, if Bush were to sign the AWB, which I doubt he will have to do anyway, that would make me jump away from him for sure, no matter what.

I can't vote for a guy who would embrace a ban on the very types of firearms the 2nd amendment is all about. It ain't about shooting ducks and deer boys and girls.

I would guess that if Bush were to go public after this thing dies, and explain the real reasons the AWB needed to sunset, he would not lose, and would probably gain in the polls heading into election day. All the people who hate military look alike firearms also hate GWB for the most part. But there are people who could be educated on what a stupid idea this law was in the first place and why, including it's infringement upon our God given rights, which the Second Amendment says govt. cannot do.
