A response from my Senator on Gun Control

They probably have no idea that you sent a letter in because like so many functions done today are done by computer. This is why you write a real letter,put it in an envelope and mail it. Someone will actually have to open it and read it.
Well, I am sure they are keeping track of pro vs. anti sentiment among constituents, however the sentiment is expressed (calling, writing, email). But the suggestion to use pen and paper is a point well taken. It also helps to try to get "letters to the editor" in local papers, especially if they have political influence.

Don't these dingbats understand that the battlefield is where ALL guns have come from. Lever action and revolving rifles replaced muzzle loaders. Bolt actions replaced/supplemented those. Semi autos and then full autos did the same. Same thing goes for revolvers and pistols. Total morons.

I am from Illinois where the perverts rule. For the last 10 days I have written my legislatures, state and federal, everyday on the gun issue using (http://capwiz.com/nra/dbq/officials/). Only one has replied with a response very similar to Mr. "Spineless" Udall.
They took an oath to protect the constitution - when they desert and run from that oath - they are a traitor!

Dear Senator XXXXXX,

First off let me say that I don't like you. Be that as it may, I would like you to vote for more gun control. Whatever is proposed, please vote for it.

I look forward to your coming unemployment.

Thanks.

I was thinking something along these lines;

Dear Senator XXXX,

Thank you for indicating that you are supporting anti-gun agendas in the Federal Government.

Next time you are up for re-election I will make it my mission in life to ensure you are fired. I'm an influential, wealthy downstate businessman with lots of free time and an ample amount of discretionary funds on my hands. I plan on making generous contributions to your opponents.

Very generous.

I look forward to watching you pack your desk and return from whence you came.

Sincerely yours.
