i found a ruger .32 magnum single six in very good condition with ex bore(made in 2000) and bought it. i have a S&W 31 in .32 long that i load for and i think i can use the .32 long dies for the .32 magnum. the .32 mag is not much bigger than a .22 single six and handles and feel good in my hand. over all i,m pleased with it, but the fake case hardening sucks and i would have prefered it in blue. eastbank.

Nice score, you'll like the gun. For some reason I'm intrigued by the .32 H & R cartridge, I have 3 plus a .327 Federal mag.

Congratulations! I like mine very much. It is the most accurate 32 I have shot (6.5" barrel). Is it bigger than the 22 Single Six? I have one of those as well, and just kind of assumed they were the same size without comparing them carefully. It was good for my daughter when she was younger. Her fingers weren't strong enough for DA triggers, and some were difficult for her to cock back to SA. That's why I have the Single Six and the 32 both.

I will look forward to your range report. They are very likeable little revolvers.

Nice 32 Single Six. Shooting 32 caliber guns can get to addictive.

I've gotten interested in 32 caliber revolvers in the past couple years. 32 H&R, 327 Federal Magnum, and 32-20 Win.

Not to mention 32 ACP semi-autos.:)

the grips are factory and it seem a little bigger and the grip frame is steel, with the short barrel and steel grip frame its not muzzle heavy and points good. i also bought a very nice model 69-A .22 rifle. if clinton get elected i will not be buying any new firearms and will sell at auction all the firearms in my collection i don,t need or use. eastbank.

Nice Single Six in .32 H&R Mag! I had one with a 5 1/2" barrel and adjustable sights along with a Bisley model with a 6 1/2" barrel and the drift adjustable rear sight. Foolishly traded both of them off years ago when I was in my wheelin' and dealin' mode and came across something new that I wanted more than I wanted them.

Enjoy your new sixgun; should make for an excellent companion if you're ever out hiking the trails anywhere.

Howdy

The 32 H&R Magnum Single Sixes were very popular in Cowboy Action Shooting a bunch of years ago. They were light, and the 32 cartridge could be loaded down so there was almost no recoil.

About when Ruger discontinued them you could find them at a bunch of wholesalers for $299 if I remember correctly. I seem to remember these were the Stainless versions.

Still kicking myself for not picking up a pair back then.

Eastbank,

Nice 69A! My uncle gave me a Winchester 69A when I was about 12 years old. That was a long time ago. My Dad actually shot the rifle as a kid, so I am thinking the rifle was made in the early to mid 1930's. I still have it. Your rear sight looks nicer than mine. I wish I could find a replacement. It is a nice shooting .22 rifle. Congrats.

Nice guns. If the accuracy is not all you expected check the cylinder throats. The one I had and the two SP-101s a buddy and I bought all had undersized chambers mouths. The SPs measured .309 and the little Vaquero like yours measured .310. I ended up buying a .3125 reamer and opening the throats. That made a difference in accuracy especially with lead bullets.

I have two of the adjustable sighted versions with 5.5" barrels and they both measure .312 and shoot really well.

Definitely not factory grips, probably Eagle. Looks like the early version with the standard grip frame, as opposed to the later short grip frame.

I remember when Davidson's blew them out. Dad bought a blued pair for $269 apiece.

your right,i took them off and they are indeed eagle grips made in india. when i bought this ruger the seller had the same gun new in the box and it had the same grips on it. my bad for thinking they were factory. eastbank.
