A.s.m.1858 what spare cylinder?

I have a beautiful ASM 1858 with dark black frame target model shoots exactly where you aim it with round ball and 35 grains triple seven but what I need to know is what spare cylinder would I need would one for a Uberti fit or pietta?

Uberti parts are not inexpensive but sometimes you can find a used one on ebay.

For a bit more, you could get this (nipples look a bit beat up) or one like it and have a bunch of internal replacement parts ready to go:

Also ASM (and old CVA which used ASM) parts show up on ebay and GB with some regularity so saving a search on both sites and running them often may net a cylinder at a much lower cost!!!

If you want a spare cylinder for an Armi San Marco, the best cylinder will not be Uberti or Pietta but ASM!

If Deer Creek Products doesn't have one in stock, it will certainly show up on ebay or gunbroker or the like.

Yup, absolutely go for the one DESIGNED to be used with it. Barring that I can say first hand that my ASM cylinder would fit in my Piettas, but would leave a huge gap... Neither of Pietta '58 cylinders would even fit into my ASM however.

^^^ The same happens with Uberti in Pietta = will fit with wide b/c gap. Pietta is too long to fit in Uberti.

An Uberti will fit an Euroarms/Armi san Paulo with a cylinder gap of about .009".
