A story today from range.

Walked 4 miles one vacation on the boardwalk at about 7 years old without much hydrate. We were long range walkers. But that day I stopped at a soda machine and refused to move until I got a soda.

The next several days was spent on the floor waiting for the stroke to finish it's course. To this day I aint been right with heat. Ive been down in the Death Valley area and up on the Mesa and other places where it's been hot... 130? 140?

Northeast living had my blood pressure around 170/100 alot. Moving to Arkansas where life is slower and dinners take a few hours fixed in the kitchen lowered it to 125/70 or less. Positively sleep inducing.

But when it's time to shoot, I become like little kid, ready to have a bit of fun. Hard not to get excited with that old ticker going when aiming downrange for fun.

I cannot tell you how many times these tough Arkansas Folks waved me off and told me to &^%$ off because they are doing JUST FINE THANK YOU!!!!! Damn yankees always poking nose into everyone's medical business just because of a little stumble and sweat followed by disorientation and mumbling gibberish induced by heat pushing a mechanical push mower instead of spending 2K for a dixie hogger.

But when and if they drop, alot of good folks come running. Believe me it's good.

I used to think the Shenandoah was hot at 90 degrees and 80% humidity. Ive learned to deal with late august 123 degrees and 110 Humidity if such things are possible in the shade.

Down in mexico way, they stop work to sleep from 11 am to 3 then finish up. Nothing moves during siesta and it's HOT down there.

yeah we have 100% humidity here and 90 degree temps easily

the hottest place i have ever been was on the way to yosemite from l.a. in the san jalkin valley (sp?) the temp was 110but like 30% humidity. the heat doesnt get me the humidity does

i loved how in L.A. the temp was 85 the valley was 110 then yosemite was 68
