My mom and dad taught me, many years ago, to write thank you notes when I received something from others. I did that for a long time, but in recent years, I've gotten bad about doing it. I'm trying to get back into the habit, so this is as good a place as any to begin.

Last evening I went to the range for a while to shoot some new 9mm loads I put together a week or so earlier (3.8 Universal under 125gr Speer lead bullets, which, by the way, makes for a very pleasant plinking round). As I was standing there, shooting, I realized how much I enjoyed not only shooting the ammo but how much pleasure I had in making them. Things at church have gone crazy the past few months, people a-fightin' and a-fussin' about this and that, and having a hobby where I can go in the garage and concentrate on something else besides other people's problems is wonderful.

And, when I was first making these loads, I had a couple questions about load weight, OAL length, etc. I posted the question here and within minutes had answers to my questions.

I've also reloaded .38s and .357 Magnums with similar experiences - you have all been most patient as I asked some really dumb questions (in hindsight) or made really dumb observations and comments.

Anyway, I simply want to thank all THR members, and in particular the reloaders who frequent this board and who have been patient with me and my questions. I am by no means an accomplished reloader, but I am enjoying learning the hobby. Thanks for making it more enjoyable with your patience, courtesy, and helpful guidance.

Ahh... now you went and embarressed The Bushmaster. He's so shy, you know. :D

It's a great place to learn. I know I have learned a lot here. Having fun doing it too. AC

Don't feel sorry for me...I'm embarrassed for you guys... For all the trash you have posted in the past. I hope that after you have read all of Quoheleth's posting you will do better in the future...:neener:

I, for one, hope that I also was instumental in his quest for knowledge...:)

Quoheleth I'm happy you are enjoying reloading. There are a lot of good people on this forum, they help me a great deal when I was starting also.

Quoheleth,
I'm sure your mom & dad are very proud since they raised you with manners. :) We have all gotten help from the members on this forum. I try to repay their kindness by helping others whenever I can.

I also totally agree with you. There is a big satisfaction derived from shooting ammo you have produced and that's only a bonus since the time spent reloading is relaxing in itself.

Keep up the good work and enjoy your time reloading and shooting too.
