I have a 53 TT Tokarev and a M57 Yugo, did the web searches on spring kits and recommendations. I found post of owners saying they had 3 different recoil spring weights from wolff (old post-different site) or saying they had specific spring weights. Both models mentioned.
Couldn't find them listed on Wolff's web site, so I called them. The woman that answered my call says they've only offered the "Standard" factory weight springs for the tt33 and that they've never had a M57 there to tear down to make the copies. SO? did someone use their "smith kits" or Blitz pack & new what would fit? She didn't know? Or some body "embellished" a post?
I sure would like to up date my Toks (especially the M57)& hopefully make it easier to find my brass. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Clark, maybe you better educate me a little more -
Like - Spring "Right"?
And did you get these from one of there 'smith kits? OR are these from a different pistol kit?

Right is right hand twist.
Left is left hand twist.

Wolff will not tell me the coil size and the wire size of their springs. I have to buy them and measure them.

Contrast that with my father who could get any spring prototype for free and quickly, 4140 closed and ground.

I keep trying to play gun engineer, but society has made me a consumer.

I bought the Wolff gunsmith pak #14 and that is what is in the list.

Here is an info dump of the little I know

Recoil springs:
Below I list the source of the spring, right handed or left handed
twist, the coil diameter, the wire diameter, the spring's free length,
the force in pounds [#] to open the action of the Patriot with that
spring installed alone, and the force to pull the slide all the way
back.

This pic is of a Colt 1911, but the same thing applies to a Tokarev. There is extra recoil absorbing energy put into cocking the hammer, as well as friction.
