A very brave man shooting .700 NE

If shooting a large gun makes you brave, I think we need a new definition of brave, LOL.

Bravery involves taking that gun, or any other gun, into harms way and a lot of other criteria, not just shooting at the range.

Very Brave.....................

True, but you have to admit that standing up and repeatedly bashing you shoulder with a sledgehammer, while never batting an eye or flinching, is brave.
Not battlefield brave but brave nonetheless.

No I don't, not in any form or fashion. I shoot big guns and don't consider it bravery to do so. I've hunted with a .458 Win mag, and own a 50 BMG rifle. No big deal.

Today's kids have a strange idea what bravery is and what makes a hero. Trust me, it's not a boy band star or some joe who goes to the range to shoot a rifle.

I don't know about brave, but not something I'd want to shoot just for fun. There's a specialty shop here in Denver that sells those rounds and the rifles for them, and each round is unbelievably expensive!

It pushes him off the leg he is leaning forward on with most of his weight with each shot.
Manages to dislodge his hearing protection on the second shot from the double.

He handles them well.

I would agree though that operating a safe product as intended does not quite meet the definition of bravery.

Stupidity might be a better description. That's probably a little harsh, but I've met far too many people with detached retina's as a result of shooting hard hitting magnums.

Hard to act tough when you can't see.

Bravery is walking into your home, calling out to the wife to come look and see what you bought, and then telling her what you paid for it

dont think bravery is the word...I am 59, dont shoot anything over a .308 anymore....got no use for abuse like that....but there have always been people like this showing their bravado....and they are breeding too.

No thanks, I like my shoulder right where it is at, put a bullet through an elephant's brain and he is dead does not matter if you are talking about a 6.5mm or a .950JDJ miss the brain and you need a quick follow up shot regardless of the caliber.

Jesus Christ, drop the "that aint bravery" stuff....

Cool cartridge, cool gun, cool video, terrible music.

For goshs sake guys! I believe that I said that I was more or less joking!
To fire this gun will require pain and a great deal of self control to not flinch, but I was still joking!

Any body have any Idea how much a double rifle like that costs?

:eek: That cartridge is, shall we say, large? :)

There's another clip on Youtube that shows several guys shooting a, 700 Tyranosaurs (? spelling) in some sort of lab. I LMAO everytime I watch it.

I have a 700 NE, but it sits in the safe most of the time, since I haven't been able to secure a tag in the last few years to hunt a dump truck.

It looks...... unpleasurable. Sorta like spending more than 3 days with my mother in law but with shoulder bruises to boot.

No dump truck tags? You should try bulldozers.

Bravery was listening to that music!

In all honesty, I think shooting anything with "Nitro" in the designation is a little brave. Especially if its not pointing at a member of the Big Five.
