A nice day for sighting-in; no sun, mild 5 o'clock wind at my blueberry field range. The attached target was shot with a slightly-reduced load of Reloder 22 in my older Rem 700 BDL SS, .270 Win. in a Sendero Stock.
I couldn't have been happier with my rifle and the load I made up a few days ago. The clean-barrel shot was only a quarter-inch away from the second one, but both shots were quite a ways from the center bull and I remembered that the rifle had been whacked when moving things since last season.
This rifle has been an excellent shooter, but it still can surprise me with great targets. It would be nice if we could get factory-fresh rifles to shoot this well, but for deer and other big game it's not necessary to be that precise IMHO.
