You should care what any network does as many people believe stories from the news. People who don't know anything about firearms hear stories on the news about how dangerous guns are and believe some of it. They might not believe everything, but that seed is planted about the danger to family and friends. If the news media actually told the truth of gunownership, there wouldn't be debates about gun bans.

Here is a little experiment we all can try. Those of you who still watch/read the "mainstream" press start counting the "guns bad, gun control good" stories on CBS, etal. prior to the IANSA meeting.

The press will try to frame this meeting with their propaganda, even more so if there is a Columbine type event they can hype. (If there isn't they will dredge up the old ones).

After you have seen the propaganda occur, reflect on past events which conveniently meshed with the media's stories.

Then, like me, you might not like the taste of the Kool Aid anymore.

I believe we are going to see more and more stories culminating with the "revelations" coming from the July 4 IANSA meeting. The Socialist Mainstream Media has their marching orders, and the propaganda war has begun. The NRA convention is the first part.

My television never comes on unless it's for the PS2 or to watch a dvd.

The news networks are completely irrelevant, especially the liberal MSM. People trust Congress more than they trust the media, and congress approval is at an all time low of 22%.

I take everything I hear on the news for what it is: leftest drivel. It's too bad we can't create a right swinging major news network to balance things out. A decent amount of AM radio is that way but not on any major TV news. We could have Michael Savage do editorials and have Ted Nugent report on the Brady Bunch's latest squealings

Yep, we were.

As for Walter Cronkite, about ten years ago, in a very long interview of Cronkite in the Los Angeles Times Sunday Magazine, Cronkite admitted that he was a lifelong "Progressive Social Democrat." In other words, a communist.

He also stated that many people had begged him to become President of the U.S., but that he had declined (his natural assumption of course, that there was no way he would have been defeated for the office) because he would have made a lot of people angry, as he would have communized America and also used the military and police "to confiscate every gun in the U.S."

Re Cronkite and his Marxist media buddies, to paraphrase Billy the Shake, "A communist by any other name, i.e. Progressive Social Democrat, is still a communist."

That's what burns my ass about this "left-wing media" nonsense; the media is run by big corporations for the sake of big corporations. It ain't left-wing or right-wing-- it's whatever maximizes their bottom line.

Real conservatives and real liberals alike don't matter none to them, because neither one is going to give them what they want. That's why they promote these godawful "neoconservative" and "neoliberal" politics.
