Over the past few weeks I've made some room in the safe and built up a little toy fun. I've been thinking about getting a 9mm carbine as a plinker as I already have a bunch of 22's. I'm curious if anybody has handled one of the recent Vector Uzi's? Atlantic Firearms is currently running a special for $779 and it looks like a good buy.

We did some Uzi blastin' just last weekend, first time I'd fired it in several years. I'd forgotten what a blast those things are, my buddy was really digging it,too. I'm even considering going to our over-priced local gunshow this weekend just to grab a can of loose Georgia Arms 9 mil. ammo for it.
I can't comment much on the Vectors, other than to say I've read good stuff about them.
Last I checked, both CDNN and Centerfire had some of the Uzi accessories pretty cheap, like original Israeli slings, wooden stock, mags ,etc.

After shopping around a bit it looks like the Vectors are a good deal. The IMI's are too much coin for me, Norinco UZIs seen to run about $1k on Gunbroker, and I don't want to take a chance with Century.
