Absolutely the Stupidest Soldier Ever

one would think that would qualify for stupidest evar, but sadly... most of the darwin award entrants are worse

 I hope this is not a good indication of what kind of training our guys get. I had always heard that you would meet some really stupid people in the service but hoped it wasn't true. This guy seems to prove that it is.

C'mon, this has to be fake. Watch it again. When he fires the first shot, the bullet hits the sand down and to the left, but much later than you would expect the bullet to travel that distance.

Obviously fake.
I mean...it's so blatently stupid that it can't be real.
On a lighter note: Check out America's youth in the comment section of the website.
Remember, they're our future!

The time of flight for a 100m shot from an AK round at 2200 fps is over 1/7 of a second, so there would definitely be a noticable delay.

Still, I'm not buying it. I'd have to say "FAKE".

You've just got to ask yourself a few questions.
Why would they need a foreign soldier and thus an interpreter?
Why would they need a soldier to hold the vest?
Why does the interpreter maintain a huge smile the course of the video?
What's with the movie-style "kerchack" before each shot?
Why would they laugh when their buddy gets shot?
Furthermore, the acting after the soldier gets shot is fairly poor.

FAKE!

The reason you hear the bolt cycle after each shot is that they are using blanks without a blank firing adapter.

In the immortal words of http://www.somethingawful.com, OLD'D! :neener:

This video has been going around for a while now, and yes, it is fake.
As mentioned above, they were using blanks for the report. Still not a bright idea to be shooting even blanks while pointed at a person, but eh.

This is what cracks me up about people who are not in the military.

They tend to think that the people *in* the military are the best
and the brightest; That they are somehow "a cut above" the
rest of the average dumbnuts out on the street.

Well, I got news for ya.

The average dumbnut on the street walked into a recruiting office,
and now he's in uniform.

Face it people...it's not as if the military really discriminates based
on intelligence. If you've got a pulse, can spell your name and are
not a felon, then you're good to go. See you at the MEPS station!

Believe me, I know. You should SEE some of the people I work with.

I'm gonna have to go the FAKE too. I just can't belive that anyone.... well, there are some dumb ones....but not a US Armed forces personell.

To even question that not being obviously fake is a joke in itself. I got ****** chills reading the comments about it on that site. I was embaressed reading somehting some random person on the internet wrote. Thats bad!
