BA66D17A-CFA8-43D9-9FBC-DBFCCCE0744D.png I saw the add and was intrigued enough to give it a click. Seems that they are selling the Taurus g2 and you are getting the Rossi rifle for free. I’m not familiar with the rifle, but I’m interested. Anybody got the scoop on this rifle yet?

Here’s the link that the banner ad here at THR gives.

The Rossi RS22 appears to me to be identical (except for stock) to my CBC 7022 (imported by MagTech). Rossi & CBC are in Brazil.
The CBC 7022 evolved into the Mossberg 702 (there are minor differences between the CBC 7022 and the Mossberg 702*).
Reminds me of a combination of features to compete with the Marlin Model 70 and the Ruger 10/22.
The Mossberg 702 has been fairly successful and my CBC 7022 bought in 1999 for $65 has run fine for me.
I do not know whether the Rossi RS22 is more compatible with the Mossberg or the CBC when it comes to spare parts.

* Numrich gun parts uses the same photo for the ten-shot box magazine for 7022 and 702 but the part numbers were different. I adapted a Mossberg 702 25-shot magazine to my CBC 7022 and it took some cutting and fitting on the magazine positioning stud and notch for the magazine catch.

My Mossberg 702, purchased January 2016 for a $99 "rollback price" at Wal-Mart, is a fine little rifle for that money and more. I've only run two types of ammo through it (Federal AutoMatch and CCI MiniMags), and it runs them very well. It's a slick-handling, lightweight gun that I'm pretty impressed with. If I had to pick a downside, I'd say the hollow buttstock makes the gun "nose-heavy." A sock filled with ammo and stuffed into the buttstock fixed that.
