Anytime a firearm is discharged it is either accidental or on purpose. Some accidental discharges are because of negligence. The term ND is WAAAAY over used. Only a tiny fraction of all firearms that are unintentionally discharged meet the legal requirements for negligence. All of them are AD's until someone stands before a judge and jury and is found guilty of negligence.
