"Accidentally" bought some .45 ACP +P. Is it safe to shoot in my SA Mil-Spec 1911?

I have a Springfield Mil-Spec full size 1911.

I picked up some Federal Hydra-shok 185 gr. +P ammo. The SA 1911 manual implies that +P is safe to fire in all of their 5" full size guns, however I've also read that the Mil-Spec has a two-piece fused barrel. Is this +P gonna take it apart?

Should I take the ammo back and pick up some non +P or should I use this ammo?

Thanks for the advice.

That Mil-spec has same stainless steel barrel and bushing used in SA's TRP line of handguns.

Shoot it, no worries. If you do happen to worry, throw a sHock buffer in and a new 18 pound spring, you'll be Golden.

shoot it till the cows come home. I've shot a million +P ammunition out of my Springfield GI and ain't nothin ever happen, except me having a good time!!:D
