Drop the magazine out, get some CLP or Eezox and put some drops down the barrel then after a few, in one, fast, hard equal motion, pull the slide and push the grip hard, at the exact same time. If no success, harder if ya can.
Wooden dowel isn't going to get it done, at your end, if the slide is on unless you can safely, carefully, vice it down and then insert dowel and use hammer just to "crack the seal/grip on the bullet nose" within the chamber then repeat, push/pull with equal force.
