Accumulating guns...Am I nuts?

Honestly, the reason I bumped this thread is because of my drive to accumulate pistols.

I'm not sure if you are familiar with SB 489 that commie davis signed a while back. It requires all semi-auto pistols sold in the state to have a chamber loaded indicator and mag disconnect, effective Jan 1, 2005.

Those requirements obviously mean that the vast majority of semi-automatic pistols will no longer be legal for sale in CA.

So, I just bought a Desert Eagle, next gun will be a Colt 1991A1, and after that, either a stainless 1991A1 or Glock 29. There are more on the list too...

So that's my predicament.

I've not yet acquired the Marlin, though I will at some point. I guess sometime in 2005 when I can no longer buy pistols, I'll start accumulating long guns and a revolver or two.

Maybe I'll start with the .500 S&W to really piss of the antis.

Well, you ARE nuts, but it's got nothing to do with buying firearms!

And a good lever gun is an under-the-radar way to get some firepower, IMO. It doesn't raise any eyebrows over the mantle in the living room, but packs plenty of punch out to a couple od hundred yards.

banned tommorrow, investing money in soon to be banned guns is not a good idea if your planning on staying in CA.

Anyone planning on staying in Kali probably doesn't like guns anyway. As soon as my children start popping out Grandchildren my wife will be willing to leave, and the difference in price from here to there will help retirement and buy me more gun/ I mean investments.

I feel the same way living in Massachusetts. I want to buy everything I can in case we get more restrictions. I don't think I'm nuts but I'm sure others might. I have a small collection for now:

2 Beretta type M
1 92FS Blue
1 92FS Inox Brigadier (as of this coming Saturday )
1 S&W 686 4"

I hope to get a couple of Ruger New Single Six by early February and after that, I'm still thinking.....but I'd love to get a rifle when I'm done with my handgun collection.
