I fired this 3 shot group at 100 yards and am amazed by the accuracy of this Hornady ammo. The rifle is a RUGER 96 with 1-20 twist rate and the scope is Bushnell featuring 1.5 - 4.5X. Some varmint rifles can do no better than this tight cluster of shots.

Has anyone tried 44 MAG Leverevolution ammo in their Marlin, Henry, or Winchester? I'm a big fan!

I have been happy with my Marlin as far as accuracy, but I just using the stock sights.

I have a red dot on my 94. 50-75 yards is the farthest I've shot it. But I'm getting groups similar to that at 75. Doubt I would be at 100 though. The dot covers the entire center area on the target at 100. Definitely a very nice group. I have always gotten good accuracy from LeverEver in my 45-70 and 444. Never tried it in 44mag because I reload now for all 3.

I did not get good results with the Leverevolution ammo in my Marlin 1894 in .44 mag. Your target looks about like my targets with my handloads. The Leverevolution ammo yielded groups more than twice that large. I don't doubt it's good ammo, just not the right ammo for my rifle.

.
I've not used any LeverRevolution in any of my lever rifles, but it's not because I don't want to.

I have, however, used LAX Ammuntion (Inglewood, CA) new-manufactured (but the company is known for their quality reloads) RNFP .44 mag in my Browning 92 and was happy as could be at this combination's accuracy.

Offhand I was able to hit all steel targets from 30 yds, 50 yds, 75 yds, 100 yds and 110 yds. It makes for a fun range day when you hear the steels ringing with every shot. I've yet to attempt paper targets with this particular rifle.

Reg 240 gr Hornady in my 1894. 2-7X Redfield Revolution..........2" or under at 100 yds.
Pleasantly surprised.

Thought the load "warm" at best.

As far as varmint rifles go.............if meaning heavy bbl............I wouldn't accept anything that didn't shoot .50". My walking varmint rifles (sporters) have to shoot .75" or under (and I've had 4 that went at .50".....one under that). Handloads. Normally handload .44 mag stuff too, but tried some Hornady and it was available at good price, shot well.

Sold my 1894........................like the Ruger auto better..not as good a shooter, not as good a trigger.............but just too cool a rig inside 100 yards..............fingergroove :)

Deer are big, most shots under 100 in these parts. That opens things up to a wide variety of what'll work. I do have a .35 Rem that's about an inch at 100yds. Scoped.
Kinda like the Ruger auto peep sighted, fun change of pace.

I have a box of that, never tried any. My .44 Trapper seems to be real ammo-picky. I have some handloads with Silvertip bullets that it'll keep on a playing card at 100 yards. But I try some lead SWC's that I have, and those pattern about the size of a stop sign.

Really nice lil' rifle, just have to find bullets it likes.
