I just picked up some Accurate 2520 powder to try out. I'll be loading 308 Win for a DPMS LR-308 and for an M1 Garand in 308. I have CCI Larger Rifle Primers and Federal Brass. I've exclusively used Varget and am happy with it but wanted to try something else. Bullets will be 150 FMJBT and 168 SMK. Please let me know what your successful 2520 loads are. Thanks!

I can't help you with loads as I do not use that powder, nor do I have a 308 Win. However, in case your not aware of the Accurate site I have a link to it. One can never have too much information. From the write up on it, 2520 appears like an ideal powder for your needs. Being a spherical powder (ball type), I would recommend using the magnum primers for best results. Good luck.

I looooove 2520, it is so round and firm and fully packed and measures so smooth and easy. Unfortunately my .308 shoots more accurately with Varget.

I don't have my old load data at hand, but I recall it did best in good stout loads just a little below maximum. In a bolt action. Best sneak up on it with autos.

Thanks,

Jim, I also found Varget to be really good stuff!

Bump for more info from 2520 shooters.

Canuk, I tried to click the link but I'd need an account to see it...would you cut and paste for me?
