Accurate Arms #5

I just came into 8# of AA-5 and was wondering if any of you have a load that you like using both 125 Copper Coated bullets and 125 grain JHP bullets in the 38 Special cart. Thanks in advance for you help.

AA#5 is a medium speed powder and is best suited for .38 Special +P ammo instead of standard pressure rounds. (IMO of course) I also like it for full power 45 ACP loads.

I use AA#5 for loading 135gr Speer GDHP ammo with that bullet or a 140gr XTP bullet. I charge 6.8gr AA#5 under those bullets. It's not a max charge but it's accurate for me and it's a good replicate, again IMO.

There is plenty of data on the Accurate site including standard pressure loads with plated bullets.

Copper coated bullets are plated bullets. A JHP is a jacketed bullet. There's 125 grain data for both on Accurate's site.
