Caveat: I'm not a lawyer and my disclaimer here is that this thread is not a legal recommendation or any legal advice.

This following information is my philosophy regarding self-defense.

act justifying the use of deadly force = any act of killing (or attempting to kill) one or more innocent humans or causing (or attempting to cause) grievous bodily harm to one or more innocent humans, any act causing the immediate fear or threat of death or grievous bodily harm to one or more innocent humans or any other act which the use of deadly force would be justified against one or more persons and/or animals committing such act

1. man-made acts justifying the use of deadly force (murder, attempted murder, mass shootings, terrorist acts, battery, armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, brandishing a weapon, acts or war, rioting, desertion, insurrection, false imprisonment, kidnapping, unlawful abduction, rape, sexual assault, child molestation)

2. animal acts justifying the use of deadly force (animal attacks, animal charges, abduction by animals, animal bites, stampedes, animal trampling)

This is how I define and understand the legitimate use of deadly force in accordance with God's Law or Nature's Law. Man-made laws in various jurisdictions around the world may differ from my point of view.

I consider the modern firearm the most proper means for any civilized society to counter an AJDF. Gun-control proponents don't seem to grasp my philosophy regarding guns for self-preservation.

I get so sick of hearing how America has so much more incidents of "gun violence" than most other nations per capita. What is grossly failed to be considered is the number of AJDF's occurring in America as compared with other jurisdictions world-wide. Often the British talk against gun rights. I would like to know how many acts justifying the use of deadly force occurred in the United Kingdom last year per capita as compared with those acts which occurred in the United States of America last year. Statistics are often biased and don't paint the complete picture. Certainly, North America has more species of dangerous wild animals than the British Isles. There are no wild moose, bears, wolves or cougars that I know of in England. A loose hound trained to be fierce out on the moors of England is still a possible threat to man. A gun may be used to defend against an aggressive person or an aggressive animal.

Please chime in if you have any thoughts about this here.

"God's law" is between you and your concept of god, I guess. It has no bearing here, and in fact, is out of place. You are setting up an artificial dichotomy, which also tells me you're trying to provoke an argument, for reasons unknown.

All laws are man's laws. Who else could they be for?
