I have an opportunity to purchase an Adams Arms 16' complete MOE upper for about $700 new. What's the general opinion on this upper? I know it's piston driven, and I don't want this to degenerate into a thread about the use of a piston on an AR platform (you know, the whole "it's a solution looking for a problem" commentary). I guess my question is not whether a piston driven AR is something I should obtain, but whether this particular AA product is a quality item.

Thanks hombres.....

I have an Adams upper. It's 16" and piston.

My gripe is a gas leak around the barrel port. I estimate I am losing valuable pressure on weaker rounds and getting failure to eject on said.

The upper is nicely built and looks good. The cutoff position on the port allows for single shot. It's damn easy to clean.

Work out the gas leak and the upper is a winner in my book.

Accuracy?...............next guy.

I have one. I havent had any problems with it at all. Ive got 3k+ rounds through it. Accuracy is acceptable for a carbine. I've never really tried for groups. Mine is on my Slide Fire lower. It has been punished and keeps going.
