Adhiesive Cheeck Pad (or other ideas)

Hey gang-
I am looking for a cheek pad to fill out the top of my stock and get a bit better alignment with my scope. The current stock it the old factory canoe paddle on a Ruger M-77 MkII. I am tired of getting chopped on the cheek by the thing, and find I shoot it far less than anything else I own.

Anyhow, I see Brownells sells an adhesive backed pad, but it is only ¼” thick. I think I need something closer to ½”.

Anyone have any suggestions? I want something with a finished look, so I am not too interested in gluing a rough cut pad on there.

Trap shooters often have taller ones than 1/4".

For a wood stock, I think the leather lace-ons look much nicer.
