hello everyone,
when I adjust a lee neck collect die, I find it hard to get .002 neck tension on the case, does anyone
have any ideas? All so I use Redding bushing neck die, and found that I'm getting a donut just before
the shoulder begins, and when I use the Lee collet neck die, it takes it out.
When I'm reloading, I use different types of cases ( not at the same time ) and found that I had to
readjust the Lee collet die because of the different thickness in the brass.

As long as I've done my job trimming, my collet has no issues from every kind of brass I've tried so far (lots) make sure you are cranking equally, Lee collet uses 18 ft-lbs of pressure. With your Redding issues AND Lee, I'd ask if you're sure you've trimmed properly and adjusted the dies correctly? If so then contact Lee for an undersize mandrel.

The Redding bushing die will not size all the way down to the shoulder., radius on bushing. This is not a problem for the unsized area helps center the round to the chamber. But since you not turning necks you will more than likely not be in perfect alignment with the bore.

Lee has instructions about just this. If you want more neck tension, just polish down the mandrel a thousanth.

If you don't want to, or aren't equipped to do that, Lee will do it for just a few bucks. I think $6 for a mandrel ?

Call them up, or go to the website.
