I am in need of some adjustable scope bases as the new scope the wife got me will not align with the bore of the rifle. Windage is the issue.
Not wanting to spend a lot on these bases as the gun and scope together we're less than $500-savage 223 caliber.
Do you guys have any recommendations?

The Leupold type scope base & rings are windage adjustable as part of the mounting process.

Burress Z-Rings have eccentric inside bushings that let you move the scope every way but loose while mounting.

You might look into those.

RC would the type of rings you speak of fit on the Weaver bases?

rc is referring to the Burris Signature Zee rings as the Signature rings have the polymer inserts, and they work extremely well. You may need the offset insert kit. The Zee rings fit the Weaver style bases.

"...The Leupold type scope base..." Redfield one piece bridge base like those seen on an '03A4. snicker. However, it's only the rear ring that can be windage adjusted. Make of the rings doesn't matter as long as they're made for that type of base.
The 'Standard' mount.

I think you should take it to a smithy though.
