Personal fave is the pre-lock 442, but a 642 w/ lock is a good choice too. S&W was firing on all cylinders when they deisgned & built those guns ;)

I personally don't bother with revolvers anymore. Back in the day, they were the only truly reliable firearms. Nowadays, guns like the Khar 9mm's and the Glock 26's are totally reliable and are much easier to shoot accurately. Not to mention reloading with ease. Of your choices, I would go with the Khar hands down.

PS...
"We will not waver; we will not tire; we will not falter; and we will not fail. Peace and freedom will prevail." President George W. Bush, October 7, 2001

This should go in the same poetry book as the declaration of "mission accomplished". What a joke.

Either the 642 or PM9 will do.

I have both types and at any given time I am carrying one or the other or both, usually in pocket holsters.

After work and at night while around the house, I often wear gym shorts and a loose shirt. Or sweats. Then I wear a belly band under the shirt. It holds either gun, and I don't need a belt.

Either the 642 or PM9 will do, but I lean towards the PM9 because:

1 - I can switch to the 7-shot mag that I normally carry as a reload; and

2 - The belly band holds a spare mag, so the 6-shot mag goes there. It won't hold a speed loader and is kind of iffy with a speed strip.

That's become pretty much my routine at night. I wear it 'til bedtime, not just to take out the trash.

If I happen to have had my 642 out but not my PM9, I put the 642 in my belly band.

How is the Rohrbaugh for reliability and shootability? Can you use +P rounds in it? I almost have to wonder if it isn't a little TOO small.
