advice on a newly obtained revolver please

Hello!
I just lucked out and obtained a barely fired Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley hunter.

The Bisley grip seems to keep the gun controllable with the off the shelf 44 mag rounds I've used.

Don't have the scope rings.
Any history, stories, background advise coments on the Hunter would be appreciated!

Strong as heck, should be very accurate, easily controllable. Mine has taken several deer, hogs, etc. You hit the jackpot!

I used to have a RSB in 44 magnum many years ago. I hardly ever shot it with magnum loads, but loaded cast bullets to 44 special specs and it was a shooting trick.

I'm almost done with my 3rd 5 gallon bucket of wheel weights,cast into 240 SWC's,shot threw my Ruger Super 7 1/2 inch Blackhawk since 1984.The Ruger is a joy to shoot,dependable and super accurate.After many thousands of rounds,the Ruger locks up,cyl,hammer and trigger with one click,tight as can be.With full power heavy loads,it's a A-- kicker . hdbiker

Best advice with a Super Blackhawk is simply to try to wear it out. Then when you're done, give it to your kids to try to wear out. They'll pass it on to your grand kids to do the same...
