I inherited a fine custom '03 Springfield rifle converted by the old Paul Jaeger Gunsmithing Co. from the late 60's. The rifle has a beautiful grained walnut stock, but is uncheckered. This fine rifle deserves to be checkered. Therefore I am asking is there a decent stockmaker in or around Eastern Pennsylvania to do a simple checkering job? Would also consider shipping stock out a decent inexpensive stockmaker. Any help would be most appreciated.
