Hi

I only found one other thread on this forum for the Winchester 52B... and it is so old I cannot post to it.

As a teen, I shot on a junior NRA rifle team in Detroit MI and saved my money to buy a used Winchester 52B.

I hate to admit that this was about a half century ago.

Any idea of what it might be worth? It is in a case and should be in good condition but has not been fired in quite a while.

thanks for you help.

Try taking a look on gunbroker to see what they have sold at recently. May not get many hits though.

Welcome to THR.

Worth? A lot. To the right buyer.

Could range from low of $800 up to ??? 1500+? sight unseen, condition unknown YMMV.

Good photos are always a plus (and fun to ogle... hint hint ;)) Makes guesstimating easier too.

ETA Oh yeah, Welcome to THR

Thanks for the welcome, gents.

I tried to get off easy here. The case is heavy for me to handle at this point and I need to find the camera.

I kept it polished and the stock should be just this side of pristine.

So, more later when I can retrieve her from her spot in the library. I should also be able to find a serial number as I understand.....

eDIT:

Believe it or not, there are four or five listed on gunbroker, but only one new replica is getting some bids.

Well, I finally got the case out of the library. The case is about five feet long. This Winchester's number is 88190C. It does have a scope J UNETRIL.

Any comments and insights are appreciated.

EDIT: A search suggests this rifle was manufactured in 1956... not too long before I bought it.
