Affiliate question TFL & THR?

Are the TFL and THR affiliated? They both seem very similar. Was just curious what the story is. I heard THR popped up after TFL went down for a long time a while back. Id like to know seeing how im debating switching homes do to overly aggresive moderators.

Basically The Firing Line was the original forum where most of us hung out so to speak. Due to various reasons TFL was closed for all intents and purposes permenantly. A few of the big folks from TFL decided to start their own server and forum to replace TFL, hence THR was born. Quite some time later TFL came back online.

Both are very good sites with lots of good folks with more good info.

I agree. The forums users at TFL are great. Rich is a very friendly kind person too.

A goodly number of moderators share both sites as well. Similar rules of decorum prevail.

Answered the Original Post.

FWIW:
- Rich challenged us all as TFL was closing, THR is not the only "Challenge" that came about.

-Many Blogs, and Websites sprung forth as well...

-No secret TFL, THR share the same Staff. What may not be clear is how many Folks are on the Staff of SWAT, Contribute to SWAT and other Media, Such as Conceal Carry Magazine.

-We have trainers, instructors, all sorts of folks, not only on TFL, THR...but a whole lotta places and media folks visit.

-We have folks, of known reputations, representative of all sorts of Responsible Firearm Related formats...

Just to further share some tidbits...

I have to chuckle when I read how someone "dislikes" someone on one Forum, and for this *someone* the same person under a different username is respected. Or the Blog read, write up read in a magazine, or some work read using a psuedo...

Kinda like , George Orwell is liked and respected - Sir Eric Blair is a jerk.
