I like Uncle Mike's boot grip. I believe they are standard on most S+W new j-frames. The skinny wood grips (if that's what yours is wearing) look better, I think, and might have a slight edge in pocket carry, being a little slimmer and wood not gripping fabric in your pocket like rubber, but the boots work well.

I've used Hogues on a couple of J frames. But given the choice, i'll go with the Pachymars everytime. They just seem to work better for me on a J frame than the Hogues.

I bought some Safariland boot grips at an online auction for my model 36, and love em.

For the rubber grips, the bantams mentioned before are pretty darn good. The only others that I prefer (non-rubber) are the Eagle Grips Secret Service. Really nice, conceal well and if price doesn't bother you, the stag grips are pretty cool.

Hogue working well for me.

My Dad gave me his 36 awhile back and I put a Hogue grip on and I shoot this gun a great deal. It works great for both my hand and my wife's as well.

I use the Uncle Mike's Boot Grips on my M38, they are patterned after Craig Spegel's design, I prefer the checkering on the Boot Grips to the smooth finish on Spegel's wood versions.
