I have a model 60, it's been around the block etc, so it's no gunsafe queeen :p

I also have a 9 yr old daughter who's very interested in shooting (have a backyard range for her Red Ryder).

The problem is the fit on "adult" sized 22's :(

I know there are the cricket rifles etc, which i like, but i'd like something that she can grow with (not only physically but also rabbit hunting etc).

So i have been thinking of cutting sections in my model 60's stock so i can take say 1" sections out to shorten the stock.

Before i hack it up i was checking for aftermarket stocks for the model 60 (have one, would buy another as i'm a happy customer as many here seem to be).

All i have found are the "bull pup" which i dont really like too much with the AR15 style handle etc up top

and this one which (fiber force) also doesnt appear to be adjustable

Anyone know of other aftermarket stocks for the model 60 family ?

Anyone carved up their gun to make it more youth friendly ?

Were she mine, I'd cut slices off the factory stock until it fit her, then add them back as she grows. Numrich has standard stocks for $51 if she got her full growth and wanted it looking nicer.

Yea,
I thought about fabricating one, but not sure if i can get one stiff enough without it being heavier than the wood stock (dont want heavier really)

Anyone else ?
