I'm looking to replace the stock on my fv-sr and want something more geared towards accuracy from the bench and offhand.

Here's two options I've found I'd like opinions on as well as any other suggestions y'all may have.

Id like to keep costs around $200 and would prefer to keep inletting to a minimum

posted via that mobile app with the sig lines everyone complains about

my savage rimfire sits in a boyd's laminate. really balanced out that rifle and made it a joy to shoot from the bench and from field positions.

Boyd's often sells their seconds on eBay for greatly reduced prices. What they call seconds and sell there would never be noticed as having a problem. It's well worth looking into it. You might save over $100. I did. The problem with my stock? The stain was too dark! I actually like the way it looks.

I purchased this stock for my FV-SR. It is excellent, they cut the LOP to my spec, to fit me, 15". They also installed two sling stud for bipod and sling. It is excellent. The pistol grip and thumb ramp fits close to my McMillan.

However, it was $250, the wait was 28 (!) weeks vs the quoted 8-10 with little communication.

Match/Target Rimfire Stock

Call the leopard guy, he may have one or two black savage mkii in stock.

+1 for the Boyds Tacticool. DIP has a bottom metal package that will convert a FVSR to a wood stock like the tacticool (you need a different mag plate and a trigger guard to replace the plastic one built into the fvsr plastic stock.)

defconskylude, why post those pics without saying what brands they are, or posting a link so we could check them out???
