Just ordered 1000 rds. of Aguila .223 for $339.00. I thought I would take a chance, for the price.

Anyone shoot this stuff?

I shoot it in .22LR, .45 ACP, and 9mm.

Always quality stuff, in my experience.

I've had no experience except for their .22 ammo.
Their match rifle easily outshoots anything else I've tried that didn't cost two to three times as much.
There were also far fewer FTFs than I've had with recent production lots of Federal, Winchester and Remington.
I was impressed, quite honestly, I hadn't expected to be.

Aguila is all I shoot recently in 22, 9mm, and 45.

It is clean, accurate, well priced, and the brass reloads great.

Last case of 9mm was 194.99/1000.

ETA I shoot 9 and 45 in Pistol caliber carbines

I shoot Aguila 124-gr FMJs in all my 9mm handguns and have had no issues in the hundreds of rounds I've gone through so far. I've been tempted to try the .223 but nobody sells it locally and I don't want to order bulk when I haven't been able to try it out first.

It's $309 at Aim Surplus. My son and I split 1K several months back @ $299.00. Shoots good, the brass looks good after shooting and it's clean. I don't have complaints.

I still don't have any experience shooting the factory Aguilla .223, but I have picked up a few dozen of the cases at our range. I haven't actually loaded or shot any of them yet, but this thread made me curious, so I went out to the shack to resize and decap a few. They appear to be uniform, well made cases. They have a good thick web, the neck thickness was uniform on the couple that I checked and all flashholes were well centered and large enough that they didn't cause any issues with depriming.
I can't speak for the ammo, but the brass looks promising.
I'll definitely load 'em up if I ever collect enough to make it worthwhile.

I got some on the cheap for my AO M1 carbine. Reliable but fouled the weapon up more than other (cheaper) brands.

OKIE - let us know how the .223 is! I've shot their super hot .22LR (nice), .38Special and their .45ACP. Nice ammo with a warm pop to it, not light bulk ammo. Great stuff for the price.

Yes, I will let you know. I won't have a chance to this weekend though, as I am taking my son to the Oklahoma-Texas game.

I plan on shooting a bunch of it up next weekend.

I've shot quite a bit of Aguila .45 through my 1911. Haven't had any problems yet and the ammo seems pretty accurate. It's not super dirty but it does seem to be a bit dirtier than Federal. That's my unscientific experience with it so don't take it too seriously.

Can't speak to their .223, but I was pleased with the box of 38 Special semi-jacketed HPs I picked up awhile back.
