Anybody tried Agulia ammo? Never heard of it or seen it before but it's the only cheap 45 on ammunitiontogo.com. Any feedback would be great.

its plinking ammo. iv used some of thier .22 stuff. its there, its cheap, it knocks cans down.

nothing to write home about. nothing to purposefully seek out. i wouldnt use it for carry.

As I understand it, Aguila = Remington. I have fired 1,000s of round of Aguila and have never had any bad experiences. But, given the current economy, given the opportunity to buy USA-made ammo for close but higher cost, I'll shop right here in the good ol' RW&B of America!

My experience with their ammo is positive. For me, it has been as reliable as any other ammo, and better than the Wolf stuff.

It's brass, reloadable, and much cleaner than Wolf for a few pennies more.

Now being sold by the CMP for the .30 Carbine, but expect a long wait.

I've mostly fired their .22lr Standard Velocity. I bought a case for my High Standard. I had a lot of failures to extract. The cases are bigger in diameter than other stuff, so I went back to CCI Standard Velocity for competition. I reserve the Aguila I have left for use in my K-22 which shoots it just fine.

I bought some of their now discontinued "IQ" ammunition for self-defense. The 117gr. .45acp shoots very well, both in full size M1911s and my friend's MicroCompact.

Using their standard velocity 22 lr. stuff in my TOZ with great results. The guys over at TargetTalk dot com seem to have had good results, as I have. I think sometimes that there might be some dimensional differences, as there is that occasional round that the block doesn't want to close on.

The stuff is Eley primed, so it has that sort of funky odor, but it has yet to fail on me... though I've only shot maybe 250 rounds of it so far.

I'll buy more, when I can't find the CCI standard velocity stuff.

I like their Mini 12 ga slugs and buckshot.

I have experienced problems with the mini rounds in both, my semi automatics and pumps. At first I thought it would give me added capacity for HD but I find it not to be usable. The manufacturer of the ammo did suggest a modification to the guns but then you are limited to only the mini ammo. For the additional price and reliability issues I'll not use it.

Yes, Aguila is a Mexican ammo company Remington brought several years ago.

They work fine in a break-open shotguns, and are fun for short range plinking especially for kids (less noise and recoil.) I find I have to use a tight choke, your results may vary. Supposedly they cycle all right in Winchester pump gun, but I don't know from personal experience. I don't think they are a particularly good choice for self defense.

Also, I’m not seeing the mini shells on the manufacture’s web site any more:
