I plan on getting a Rock River AR-15 with the 223 Wylde chamber. Does anyone know how the Radway Green stuff will perform? 2", 3", 4" groups??? Should I stick to retail 223 or get Lake City XM193 instead?

I need something cheap to practice with for high power matches without resorting to reloading. But, I don't want to get ammo that performs poorly. Help me out please.

Thanks in advance.

Never shot that Radway Green, but it should be about the same quality as USGI 5.56mm ammo, like M193 or M855- it IS made to NATO spec, after all. XM193 is a good shooter for standard military ball ammo, and I'd imagine the Radway should be about the same as well. What is your barrel twist rate? Don't use the 62gr. Radway unless you have a twist of 1-9" or faster. Other than that, get the one that's cheapest, and BA/UU/R.

I just got two cans of it. I'm curious to see what this chronos at... I wonder if this is the stuff that ammo-oracle says the Brits downloaded in a desperate attempt to make their SA80s function...

Oh, yeah. Note to self...got to buy a chrono.

Mike ;)

Can't say about the 5.56, but the 7.62 stuff I got several years ago shot great from my FAL. I just wish I had bought more when I had the chance.
