Aimpoint Micro T-1 for military use?

I'm looking for an optic that I can use at the range and take overseas with me if I ever get deployed. Eotechs look great with the exception of battery life. Comp m4 looks great with the exception of the "tube effect", and the SRS looks great with the exception of it not being out yet. With that being said, the micro has also caught my attention. Is it a good idea to slap a T-1 on an M4 if deployed? The 2 moa T-1 has just been released and it looks practical, but then again there's still no ARD available. When I called aimpoint customer service and asked about it, they gave me the whole "it's being used by various special forces blah blah blah" bit. Honestly, what incredibly high priced optic ISN'T being used by special operations? Anyway, could this be a practical solution? I'm asking here because when I look up other topics I see answers from others with military experience and would appreciate that input.
