Aimpoint problem?

Hello all,

I bought an Aimpoint Comp M2 from swfa.com about 2 months ago. I've shot the gun with it installed about 5 times. The last 2 times the dot has dimmed severly or disappeared completely after a round being fired. If I tighten the bat. cap it doesn't come back, but If I loosen the cap and then retighten it the dot will come back. Is the sight defective? am I doing something wrong? Does the battery cap need to be screwed on SUPER tight?

I only have one battery installed, but mine doesn't have a tall cap as shown in the picture (maybe I should have complained about it but I didn't)

email Aimpoint and see what they say(it has a 10 year warranty)

If Aimpoint isn't responsive e-mail SWFA. A large volume optics dealer such as they are should take care of you.

mine did the same thing when I change batteries. you can not use air zinc batteries, they need air to work and the battery chamber in a aimpoint is air tight. I use energizer silver oxide batteries
