I had a long drive home today, and was tired of listening to the Saturday reruns of Laura Ingraham and NRA News on Sirius, so I tuned to Air America (the leftist radio network) for a few laughs.

The host, Al Franken, was actively recruiting/encouraging people to move to the "battleground state" of Ohio, just in time to meet the residency requirement to vote in the November election. Their stated intent is to win that state for Kerry/Edwards.

One caller offered three rooms for rent in her home, for those seeking temporary shelter during their "move." Another suggested that people take up residence at the YMCA and other free housing.

What does this smell like to you?

I hope they get their citizenship in time to miss the deadline, then can't vote in their other state.

What's citizenship got to do with it? Plenty of illegal aliens vote for representatives of the Democratic (sic) party from coast to coast. That's the party that stands up for welfare "rights," after all.

The sad thing is that this is not much of a departure from election day Standard Operating Procedure for the Dems.

Remember last election 2002, they trained 10,000 Demo lawyers in a quickie election law course and sent them to key precincts around the country to badger blue-haired polling volunteers into counting as many Demo votes as possible. The GOP was caught unawares...

Yeah, cause you know that everyone who listens to Al Franken doesnt have to worry about finding a job or anything so moving is pretty dang easy.

Good on 'em!

Ohio (IMNSHO) was (is) going to go to Kerry anyhow. Might as well draw these *vote* away from some other location where it would make a difference.

Taft (Ohio Governor - Rep) single-handedly has screwed over so many people in this state it could be decades before the republican party recovers from it.

Hal:

You could be correct. They are a LOT of voters upset with the RINOS in the Senate and House. Taft or Daft as he is better known as could lose the election for Bush all by himself.
