Air Rifle Triggers

I can't speak for high end air rifles, but a great replacement for standard issue Gamo or Crosman/Benjamin triggers is the Charlie Da Tuna GRTIII trigger.

I've used one on a Gamo and one is currently on my Benjamin Titan GP Nitro Piston. The GRTIII trigger is better than the standard issue triggers by far.

Now, I have seen advertising on new Gamo air rifles about their new SAT trigger, but I haven't tried one myself.

I have the Gamo Bone collector and it has the SAT trigger. I think it's has a great trigger for a Air rifle that cost me $188. I bought it to shoot when 22 ammo was almost impossible to get. Shoots lead pellets at about 1100 FPS and platinum pellets at about 1300FPS. For and air rifle it packs a pretty good punch and is quite a bit of fun to shoot. Glad I bought it. I also bought a Crossman American Classic 1377 pump pistol at the same time. With the price of ammo going through the roof the way it is there a pretty good alternative to shooting live ammo.

I have a crosman phantom. It is a cheap air rifle. I paid around $80 for the phantom. It shoots a 177 cal pellet at over 1000 FPS. I have killed both fox and coyote at close range with head shots. My favorite target is a bunch of 1" rabbits printed on regular printer paper. At 15 yards I can head shoot the 1" rabbits for hours. I got an indoor trap for the pellet gun. It lasted about 90 days before my wife tossed it. I would sit up until 3 am shooting the 1" rabbits. She finally lost it and tossed my trap. That was one I let her win without saying a word.

My Daisy Powerline 880 I bought at Walmart a few years ago has a nice trigger. I shoot minute-of-squirrel quite often with iron sights. It came with a little glass sight but I've never bothered to mount it. No need. I think it was less than $50.

It will also do minute-of-grackle at 50'.

Beeman is known for great triggers, at least on their mid or upper level guns for sure. I don't know about the whole line.

I've got a Beeman R9 and the trigger is as good as any triggers I have, even on "real" rifles. :)

Benjamin Nitro-Piston. The trigger isn't bad at all, the rifle is quiet and smooth. I have the .22 version and the only problem I have is that the pellets are hard to find in my area.
