I have a question about an air rifle which I own. Perhaps someone here knows the answer or could direct me to a good air rifle forum where I could ask the question.
I have a Beeman Model R9 air rifle, made in Germany. It is .177 caliber. I purchased the rifle new about 1998 and paid (if I remember correctly) almost $400 for it not counting the cost of the scope.
I haven't shot the rifle in about 6 years. Nor have I done anything to the rifle except keep it in my gun safe. My question is "Do I need to do anything to the rifle to get it back into condition to fire, or is it ready to use as is?"
If you know the correct answer to my question, I would appreciate hearing it. Please, if you are not thoroughly familiar with this air rifle and the way it operates, don't take a guess. I suppose I could always find an air rifle forum somewhere and ask the question there if you are not sure of your answer.
Thanks for any info.
