Airgun ban on the move in Scotland?

I suspect the reason the Scots vote for it is partly because of stupid untrue films like Braveheart to be honest. They see this stuff get all patriotic and vote SNP because they try to get Scotland independant. Of course what they dont realise is that they are just practically communists and will do anything to control peoples lives. Of course the SNP look at Scotlands admittedly terrible social problems and think rather than education the best thing to do is to ban airguns, ban glass in beer glasses, and god knows what else. I saw this in one of Zoogsters holier-than-thou posts not so long ago, but didnt bother replying because he so clearly thinks he knows it all theres no point.

Thankfully the British public have voted for a (mostly) Conservative government recently, and we are reaping the dividend of common sense even as we speak, with no knee-jerk reactions after the recent shootings, even if the often left-wing BBC seem to be pushing for it.

I hope that the Scots people see the error of thier ways and get rid of these SNP idiots, but frankly I cant see it in the near futu

I agree& they have imposed their will on the majority of Scots,whom seem to like them,as they want to 'be Scottish'.Alec Salmond is a greedy,selfish,lying,fat git,who looks like the new cheif Inspector,in Taggart.Ive nothing against the actor,but Salmond is something else.He peanalised a Pakastani-Scottish SNP MP,for posing&firing an AK47 in Pakistan,for naffs sakes.A word of warning to the Scots:Nationalism comes at a price-see Nazi Germany&other so called nationalistic,political parties.
 
Kalashnikov councillor suspended

Councillor Hanif apologised and said he regretted what had happened
An SNP councillor in Glasgow has been suspended over allegations that he fired a Kalashnikov assault rifle while visiting Pakistan.

The incident was said to have taken place during a family holiday in 2005.

A party spokesman said there was no suggestion that Jahangir Hanif had broken the law but it appeared to be "foolish and inappropriate conduct".

Councillor Hanif said the incident took place before he was elected. He will now face a disciplinary hearing.
A statement from Councillor Hanif, who is presently in Pakistan, said: "I regret that this happened and apologise - it was foolish and inappropriate.

"It took place over two-and-a-half years ago, long before I became a councillor.

"I accept the actions of the party, and will wish to take part in the formal hearing on my return to Scotland."

Disciplinary hearing

An SNP spokesperson said: "Councillor Hanif is currently in Pakistan, and has not had the opportunity to put his side of the story.

"On the face of it he has not broken the law, and there is no suggestion of any involvement in anything untoward. Nevertheless, this was very foolish and inappropriate conduct.

"He is well aware of the SNP's strong views against firearms, particularly involving children.

"Councillor Hanif has this afternoon been suspended from the party, and therefore the council group, pending a disciplinary hearing where he will have the opportunity to explain himself and this incident from 2005."

It seems to me that the Scottish National Party,is in full swing,with its anti-gun agendas.What a person does in a foreign country(& it can apply to Northern Ireland too:)is their business.He didn't kill anyone,but he might of killed Alec Salmonds popularity,with the anti-gunner nationalists,of Scotland.
Any Scottish citizen should never vote SNP,as Independence,nationalism,etc,comes at a price.Vote for either Labour,Tories,or Lib-Dems,instead and thats saying something.Always READ the small-print.

These anti-polititions are worse than the scaremongering,socialistic Labour Party or the Liberals.Scottish lunatic party more appropriately named so,me thinks.

Am I the only one wondering what the hell the English are still doing controlling Scotland? For a nation of free men, they sure put up with a lot of crap from a nation of unarmed people. :barf:

Because Scotland is part of the UK& although they have their own Scottish parliament,the main laws are made at Westminster.If the Scots had their own firearms law,then it would be the same as Japans.The Scots were the ones who got handguns banned in 1997&1998 in the UK,under a misguided belief that they were more dangerous than double-barrelled weapons.:what::barf:Anne Pearson& the Labour supporters in Scotland,combined with Gill Marshall-Andrews,destroyed the sport of pistol shooting.

Scotland is part of Great Britain and has been for hundreds of years. You sound like someone who believes everything Hollywood tell him. Mel Gibson isn't really Scottish you know ;)

Oh and by the looks of it, the Scots will be a lot less armed than us, and thats apparently what the majority of them want, seeing as they all voted for the SNP. Or didnt you bother to read the thread ? ;)

Banning airguns. And a Pakistani claiming to be a Scottish Nationalist? Then getting chewed out for firing an AK in his home country?

its amazing to me how easily some people are willing to subjugate themselves in order to gain a perceived sense of security...

with this kind of mentality Scotland may as well just forget about being independent, the don't have the gonads for it.
