Someone posted the other day about pellet guns and I wanted to gove a suggestion.

RWS pellet guns are beyond amazing. My model 48 is more accurate than ANY other gun I've ever shot indoors and ranges up to about 50 years.
It is very capable of putting .177 pellets through the same hold over and over at reasonable distances.

They are a bit of the expensive side at 350-400 bucks but if you ever fire one you'll be hooked. Incredibly addictive!

Also they are NOT for kids. They fire at 1100fps and is adult sized.

Mine is a Feinwerkbau 65

Not as much velocity. Around 525 I think. But accurate?

One hole accurate. Have had SINCE it was $350. Think retail is now around $1100.

Adjustable trigger, sights adj for width of notch, adjustable for recoil or recoilless.

Absolutely amazing.

BUT.....I got one of those Daisy $50-60 ones for a couple Xmas presents and they are amazing too.

Just a LITTLE less accurate but phenomenal nevertheless.

Funny what the EXACT SAME power in every round will do, huh?

I have the RWS pistol that looks and feels like a SIG 225. Weight is about the same. Single action trigger is good, double action is acceptable (neither are like a real SIG though). My backyard shooting range is 12 - 13 yards and on a good day I can drop cans set vertically, then hit the ends of the ones that fall with very few misses and I'm not a good shot. I paid $165 for it, but it can be purchased for less. Also have a GAMO in a Glock-like style. Double action only, bb's only and nowhere near as good.

When I practice with the RWS my shooting with real guns improves measurably.

I have a Benjamin/Sheridan Blue Streak. Heck of a rifle. .20 caliber at 600 fps. I have dispatched Racoons with this weapon at close range. It is a pain to pump it up though. Very powerful and accurate. It has a brass rifled barrel. I once hit a crow at about 50 yards. He flew off his perch about 20 feet and then dropped like a stone.

I prefer the Sheridan .20 cal pellet. It has good knockdown power over the .177 and is swifter than .22 pellets.

Air gunning is fun stuff! But the air rifle is for sure, a deadly weapon, and should be treated as such. Although it does not use fire to shoot, it is a firearm!
