It has been awhile since I have been to visit the sites. I have been very busy as I retire after 20 years as an active duty army chaplain with 7 deployments including 3 to Iraq, but enough about me.
I have an Arsenal USA AK47. I want to purchase a system to change it to shoot 22LR or HMR 17.
Question: Is there an HMR 17 system to use with the AK47? I already have a Marlin HMR 17 with Leupold Scope and I love it.
If there is not an HMR 17 systsen to use with the AK47 what website can I go to to purchase the best system to change my AK47 to shoot 22LR.

I want something that is interchangeable for plinking with my wife that is not so expensive.

Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your service to our country.

They do make a .22lr kit for an"AK",but you will be
much better off with a Ruger 10/22.
I've shoot a few conversion type guns,AK,AR.
You are far better off with a new shooter.

One of the surplus sites sell a .22lr AK style rifle for a pretty good price. I'll try to look for them. A conversion of your rifle wouldn't be very cost efficient or easy. Unless of course, you absolutely want that rifle to be a rimfire instead of a similar rifle being so chambered.

EDIT: Found it:

$189.97

Is that along the lines of what you want?

I agree with rc there; an armscor or a jager, would not be much more than a conversion, and you both could fire weapons simultaneously, with more reliability. how cool is that? True love my man, Hubby and wife shooting, side by side...
