Ak 47 Barrel

Hello, can anyone tell me how to on a new ak 47 barrel it has gas port hole drilled but it has no notches for trunion sight block pin. Do you drill them yourself or do they have to be sent to a gunsmith?
I would greatly appreciate any help with this

This was in tech support. I'm moving it to gunsmithing. If it would be better in rifles, let me know.

If you're capable, you can do it all yourself.

If not, find a 'smith that knows Kalashnikovs.

As for the gas port, it depends on what country of origin the Gas Block being used. Some ports need to be drilled first, then GB installed. Others (like Romanian) gets the GB installed then the port drilled. GB is used as a drill guide.

Retaining pin grooves in a new barrel need to be drilled after accessory is installed.
