So I am looking to possibly replace my AK irons with a peep of some kind. I've done a some research and I've found two options that intrigue me.

1. Mojo Peep sight - http://www.mojosights.com/
2. Tech-Sights Aperture sight - http://www.tech-sights.com/

Now both are adjustable for windage and elevation but the tech almost doubles my sight radius. Its one draw back is field stripping is not as easy.

Anyway, I'm trying to get some more info from anybody who has played around with either.

Thanks for the help.

Well, the first one is going to be too far from your eye to work like a peep sight works.

And the other one is attached to the recoil spring guide rod.
I'd be real surprised if it will hold zero.

Well the tech sight claims that because it fits snug into the rear trunnion and has a set screw to keep it that way, it will hold zero. I've seen a few reviews with good feedback but no one went over holding zero long term.

I don't know.

I do know you have to loosen the set screw & take the spring & guide rod out it get it apart to clean it though.

Yes, having the sight attached to the guide rod makes me apprehensive, but the other tech sights I researched or bought have had good results.

Just trying to find some other people who have used this particular setup.

Thanks Michael, I watched that this afternoon. The 1.25 groups at 100 yards are really winning me over.
