hey guys,
I purchased a new ak74 from Centerfire system, it's build by century arms in a nodak receiver with a bulgarian part kit, i dont see any kind of marking in the block or bolt that shot there the rifle was build in bulgaria, but it's all good, it came with 2 magazines a circle (21) and the other doesn't have any marking at all, the stock fit me perfect and the overall built is very good with just one little problem that i found yesterday at the range.
I shot 80 rounds in total with zero problem in reliability the gun work like 100% but the first 5 rounds landed 5'' to the right on my POA at 25 yards, then i clear the gun and grab a hammer and a punch, ( you should see the look on the other guns face next to me ) and move the forst sight to the right.. try another 5 rounds and i got better results, now i was around 3'' to the right, i clear the gun and move the sight more... this time all the way to the right, and try another 5 shots and i was dead on. Then we move to 50 yards and i still was hitting where i was aiming so i call it a day adjusting the sight, for the rest of the 60 rounds the gun worked fine hitting everything i aimed for, even a few shotshells in the ground..., the only little problem that i found is that my sights now look like this ( |) but it's dead center...
should i call century and let them know i got a somewhat canted front sight so they can fix it? or should a live with it...? i can always add a reddot because the ak come with a side rail what i would like to hear from your point of view.
One thing and make me a more than ever AK74 lover it's the round, 5.45x39 is a very low recoil round and it's a dream to shoot i found, and this is just my opinion that it have less recoil than the .223 plus a a lot cheaper, and since this is a range toy, it also work great on teaching new shooters and show them how AK works.
