I ordered some tech sites they cam in today. And long story short they dont line up correctly. The front site is way to the left and I can't see over the space were the rear site was. It's a wasr underfolder, so I know canted front sites are the norm. My question is if the rear site is blocked by the former rear site section. Would correcting the canting help. Since I really don't want to fiddle with it if it's all for not. Really at the point if selling the same thing, since its been a pain in my ass at every step.

Removing the cant will get you a better sight picture. When I populate barrels on my builds, I center the post in the front sight base and then zero the sights on my next range trip. I use a brass tapper to manipulate the FSB for the windage adjustment.

As an aside, I had one of those sights on one of my AKs. It worked, sight pic was cool, etc. I couldn't get over the opening in the RSB and the ears in the sight picture when shooting. With that in mind, when you get rid of the cant in the FSB, I recommend using the rear sight on the rifle and not the aftermarket part.

Thanks for the response. If you don't mind me asking how we're you able to shoot if you couldn't get over the base of the rear site

By 'couldn't get over' I meant that the sight picture bothered the crap out of me. I could see the front sight just fine. The rear sight base made an extra set of ears in the sight picture.

For me, the Tech sight would be ideal for a Romanian pump-action or a build using a Galil or Valmet type rear sight base.
