They actually do have a safety. It's just such a pain that nobody's ever used it. I also have one built in 1896 that has the sights marked, not in meters, but in "arshins". (an arshin = .71 meters, or approximately one pace)
Some of those side-by-sides would make a great t-shirt, that is, if you could fit it on a t-shirt. Maybe after I gain more weight this Christmas I can get a super grande XXXXXL mu-mu sized t-shirt and iron on the whole chart.
This was on Surplusrifle.com a while back. Still a classic. They left out: AK- Bad guy drops like a sack of potatos. AR- Bad guy says "hey that hurts". Mosin- Bad guy disappears in red mist.
